Double Whammy
These are songs that I like right now:
Beautiful Day
Tuesdays are great. DVDs and albums come out on Tuesdays and I get to sleep in a little. Sure, Itunes makes a fortune thanks to my obsession to getting albums the day they come out but I make cuts elsewhere (who needs food anyway?). Today U2's No Line on the Horizon came out and I am obligated, like every respectful music blogger on the planet, to make a list of my favorite U2 songs.
So here it is (in no special order):

Top Chef lowdown
While watching Top Chef - which I love - I realized that, even though Jeff is always frazzled and doing too much, he should have his own show. Don't you think? He's good looking, young and charismatic. Okay so maybe that's not enough but I would watch him ;D. Since we're on the topic, let's talk Top Chef.
I loved Radhika's food. Everything looked soooooo good. I love Carla's energy, I don't know who wouldn't, she's lovely. Jamie makes a great role model - ya cheesy I know BUT - she's talented, smart, calm, strong, yet feminine - all things I aspire to become. Fabio and Hosea look like really cool guys. Yes so I'm not a food expert but I know that I really enjoy this season. Yay.
Playlist (no particular reason)
Ladies and Gents, Bonsoir.

Happiness
I love Sundays like today. Productive, relaxing Sundays. The recipe for this kind of day, starts with waking up earlier than 10am. Then taking a shower and pampering. Having an elaborate but light lunch before going studying and doing errands by foot around the neighbourhood. After all that, I get home, call a few friends and then put a good movie on. Later on, make supper and enjoy the company of those with you while listening to good music and drinking fake wine.

The new year
The new year has arrived and as we say goodbye to the 2000's glasses, I wonder what this year will bring us. This past year seems to have lasted an eternity and as they say time passes quickly when you're having fun. And so I deduct that 2008 wasn't fun. Although, I am happy about one achievement: reading. I read a lot this summer. I devoured James Patterson's novels and finished Yousuf Karsh brick-sized biography. This year was also a year of many album launches. I fell in love with Santogold, rekindled the flame with dear Brit Brit and was smitten by John Legend, all over again. TV wise, I must say the internet saved my culture life (STC, Sidereel). My highlights were the Daily Show, Big Bang Theory, How I Met Your Mother, Brothers & Sisters and Life. I also got to watch "old" series like Kitchen Confidential, The West Wing and Freaks and Geeks.
The new semester starts Tuesday, and without the buses I'm sure everyone will be cranky. But I sincerly hope that this year will be a good one, full of success, peace of mind and lasting friendships.
Here are a few songs I'm listening to at the moment. Nothing really related to my state of mind but it seems unpurposely to be a ladies only playlist.
